Dota 2 is a computer multiplayer team game in the multiplayer online battle arena genre developed by Valve Corporation. The game is a sequel to DotA, a custom modification map for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne add-on to it. The game depicts a battle on a special type of card; Each match involves two teams of five players each, controlling "heroes" - characters with different sets of abilities. To win the match, the command is to destroy a special “fortress” object belonging to the enemy side, to protect your own fortress from destruction. Dota 2 operates on a free-to-play model with micropayment elements.
